The latest version of Claris FileMaker Server came with new improvements regarding security, accessibility, and performance. In addition, some bugs from the last version were fixed:
ACCESSIBILITY
- FileMaker now supports the latest Apple operating systems: macOS Venture 13, iOS, and iPadOs 16.
- FileMaker WebDirect allows more than 500 users to connect simultaneously.
- It is possible to log in with your Apple ID for authentication when opening a file.
AUTOMATION
With this enhancement, you will be able to create, edit and delete records, so it is very useful for the accounting part.
- Open transactions: Start the transaction process.
- Confirm transactions: Finalizes the transaction and confirms the changes made.
- Revert Transactions: Finalizes the transaction and returns all modified records to their original state.
SECURITY
- The FileMaker Admin API can be validated using PKI authentication, which allows administrators to use a token instead of a username and password.
- Admin Console access can now be restricted by IP address.
- Logging in with Apple Support is now possible.
